Alkyd Resins

Alkyd resins are synthetic polymers obtained by the reaction of fatty acids, polyols and dibasic acids and are widely used in the paint and coating industry. They are known for their high gloss, good adhesion and durability. They are preferred for both indoor and outdoor applications thanks to their resistance to weather conditions and the wide range of colors they offer for decorative purposes. Alkyd resins are also used in furniture, metal and wood coatings due to their flexibility and long-term protection.
